David Thickins
David graduated from Aberystwyth University in 1982 and completed his training with Fonseca and Partners in 1986. He went on to spend time working as a solicitor in the Welsh Office and another local firm before returning to Fonseca and Partners in 1988. He became a partner in 1990 and is now one of the two directors of Fonsecalaw Limited.
David specialises in family law and residential conveyancing. He is also a qualified criminal Duty Solicitor.

Patrick Meadows
After graduating from Swansea University in 1993, Patrick trained with Fonseca and Partners qualifying as a solicitor in 1997. He became a partner in the firm in 2003 and is now one of the two directors of Fonsecalaw Limited.
Patrick has a broad based civil and criminal litigation practice and is a Higher Courts Advocate (All Proceedings). In particular Patrick advises on criminal defence, personal injury claims, contract and consumer claims, professional negligence claims and general commercial disputes.
Patrick also deals with litigation arising from property and private client matters including Boundary Disputes and Inheritance Act claims.

Laura Lewis
Laura is the latest solicitor to join Fonseca and Partners, being admitted as a solicitor in January 2008. Laura was schooled in Oxford before graduating from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth in 2002. She spent time working as a conveyancing paralegal in Aberystwyth until moving to South Wales to undertake her Legal Practice Course in Cardiff in 2005. Laura joined Fonseca & Partners in June 2006 initially as a trainee solicitor before qualifying in 2008. She was recently admitted as one of the first female Freemen of the City of Oxford.
Laura specialises in residential and commercial conveyancing, and private client. She also assists David Thickins with family matters.

Support Staff
We have several support staff who are always happy to take messages for solicitors when appropriate and who assist with the administration of cases.
